Single Chants from Reclaiming (since 2023)
Since 2023, Reclaiming has released a steady flow of chants - many of them bilingual Spanish-English versions.
Individual chants stream on all services (visit Reclaiming's artist page/channel) - here are links to "recent releases" playlists on two sites with no paywall. Email us if you can create a playlist on another site.
Our current ensemble features new-generation vocalists Miranda Wong and Irene Rojas-Carroll, as well as folks from the 2015 Campfire Chants ensemble. We've been recording classic chants in new versions - folk blues, electronica, garage rock, reggae, hyperpop, sock hop, big band - and even some disco. Stay tuned for more experiments!
Some of these songs will be assembled into albums over the next few years, particularly the bilingual Spanish-English versions below (featuring the "pentacle candle" design by Michael Starkman).
